At the top of your page you'll find the "Become an Expert" button that leads to a form that will only take you one or two minutes to fill in. Follow the instructions below the items and it will be super easy.

It's fun to share your knowledge with others: if you know great sites within a specific niche, you'll do others a big favor in sharing them. And if people use your bookmarks a lot and trust you you grow your (professional) reputation online.

There are two ways: The first option is with the "New Bookmark" button at the top of every page when you're logged in. When you click on that button a page will open where you copy paste the url (web address), add a title / description of the web page, possiblity add one or more tags and click on save. Truffls automatically saves your bookmark as "Public", but you can choose to make any bookmark "Private" by clicking the relevant button. The second option is with the "Add to Truffls" browser button which makes it even easier as it automates a few of the former steps. To install this button and understand how to use it go to "Settings" when you're logged in, click on "Install the Add to Truffls browser button" and follow the instructions. Installing it takes 3 seconds for most browsers.

We are not focused on publishing content. Truffls is focused at elevating web search by letting users easily find expert profiles and the web sites they recommend. In the future we might amplify our service to other areas.

At the moment you can only make one profile and state one chosen subject per email address. But you can choose a subject that includes several sub categories and you can use the tags to separate one from the other.

The button makes recommending web sites to Truffls even easier. You need to be signed up and logged in to install it: go to settings and click on "Add the "Add to Truffls" browser button". Follow the simple instructions on that page. On the same page you'll see how to use the button as well.

When you make a profile on Truffls, no contact information needs to be made public. In the profile you need to share: your name, your self chosen title - e.a. professor at UCLA, web designer, super hippie -, the subject you want to recommend web sites on, about yourself - whatever you want to share about your personal or professional background and that's it. Your email address, which you'll use for login, will be kept private. You can add contact information to your profile, but that's up to you. Bookmarks can be made public - everybody can see them - or private - only you can see them. We don't offer a "only for friends" option. To edit or delete your bookmarks make sure you're logged in and then click the "My favorites" button at the top of the page. Here you'll see all your bookmarks and next to each bookmark you'll find a "Edit" and a "Delete" button.
